Long Lost Sister Found

Long Lost Sister Found

It was four years ago that I published Fate Chooses, a novel about a woman searching for her long lost sister. I wrote it because I actually did have a long lost sister.

A confluence of old and new clues came together on April 7, 2017, and my daughter, Maggie, and my sister, Leila, found our sister, Karen, thus bringing the four Riley sisters together at last. In the photo, from left to right, Leila, Pat, Pam, and Karen. In Fate Chooses, the protagonist finds her sister in another country. In real life, we found our sister in another country.

It has been a joyful reunion. Everyone tells me I should write a book about it, but, in a way, I already have.

Imagine my surprise when friend and fellow writer, Regina M. Fagan, told me that a friend she hadn’t seen in 40 years had found one of Regina’s books in her community library in Virginia! She even got the friend to order her other books and mine as well.  My first book, St. James Place, went to Egypt with one of my former students, picture attached, but I’m just as happy with Virginia!
